Website Traffic and Analytics

Website Traffic

Website TrafficWebsite Traffic

Where does the website traffic go? This question is something, in our experience, most creative business owners have no idea where to go or how to look. Well, in all honesty, we were lost on this same issue when we first started our business. Just think about it for a second, the first thing a client usually sees (their first impression of you) is your website. Sometimes, this page of digital media, will decide if you book that client or if the client even decides to contact you. With such importance, don’t we owe it to ourselves to see if our website is actually working for us and not against us?

What Tools Do We Use

In our latest interview we looked at this issue with Ryan Gerres ( Gerres Accounting Online, LLC). Ryan walked us through an in-depth look at what Google Analytics could offer the average business owner. Some of the data you can pull from theses analytics include user views, what page clients go to on my website, bounce rates, and so much more.

How Do I View The Data?

Some of the big concepts revolve around the theme of design vs information overload. Ryan really hones on this in the fact that Google analytics is very customizable and reports can be tailored to the business owner. This will allow you to view data that is very important to you more quickly and efficiently without drowning in a lot of useless information.

Ryan presented so much information in his interview that we can’t possibly hope to capture it in this blog. For the full interview just click on the link below:
