When it comes to telling your clients’ love stories, modern wedding photo albums are more than an add-on. They’re a statement piece. Today’s couples want albums that feel elevated, personal, and beautifully designed. They also want them to complement their home’s décor.
That’s why I’m so excited to introduce a new album line that our clients love — the Aura Albums by H&H Color Lab. These albums are a fresh, modern take on traditional wedding books. They combine clean design, customizable slipcases, and premium materials. The result? Heirloom pieces that feel both elegant and timeless.
Let’s explore why your studio should offer these modern wedding photo albums, how to customize them, and why they’ve become a favorite for weddings and portraits.
Digital galleries are convenient, but modern wedding photo albums bring stories to life in a way screens can’t. Little known secret that seeing and touching these printed photos can actually activate dopamine receptors in your brain while solidifying those memories in your brain. Who doesn’t want more of that? Your clients want you to offer a tangible, emotional experience that they can cherish for generations.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good traditional leather-bound wedding album. However, I am not always my client. While the traditional albums I offer my clients are highly customizable, some of my couples and many of my portrait and boudoir clients were looking for something unique and with a modern twist on tradition. The Aura Albums by H&H Color Lab offer clean lines, durable materials, and a coffee-table-worthy design, these albums blend modern minimalism with heirloom quality.

The sleek slipcase for the Aura Album elevates presentation and protection — a must for luxury photographers who value first impressions. It has the ability to be created with fabric, a photo, or a fully customized design like the monogram from a wedding we recently photographed here. Each albums are handcrafted in the United States which avoids pesky tariffs. One of my favorite features is being able to select a color that matches either the colors for the wedding day, an outfit my client wore, or a favorite color they decorate with in their own homes.

When presenting these albums to your clients make sure that you have at least two to three size options to share with them. This allows them not only to compare styles of cases and covers but often encourages them to upgrade their album size. I always recommend that the cost of goods of your album not exceed 20% though ideally I encourage 18%. If you are looking for more help on how to get started with album sales then either check out one of our many blog posts on it here or book a discovery call with me here and I can help craft a custom plan to help you do that.
